Role overview
Turnaround engineers to plan and run refinery shutdowns in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, covering scope, schedule and contractor coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of refinery shutdowns and turnarounds
- Develop work scopes and activity schedules
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, inspection and HSE teams
- Monitor contractor manpower and productivity
- Track turnaround activities against the approved schedule
- Coordinate equipment isolation and handover
- Monitor maintenance and inspection activities
- Track punch-list items
- Take part in daily turnaround coordination meetings
- Identify schedule and execution risks
- Support recovery planning for delayed activities
- Prepare progress reports
- Make sure permit-to-work, LOTO and HSE requirements are followed
- Support a safe plant restart
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in mechanical, chemical, electrical or instrumentation engineering
- 3 to 10 years or more of shutdown and turnaround experience
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 12,000–16,000 /mo — approximately ₹311,300 – ₹415,000 per month (indicative).
