Our regulatory credentials, the legal framework governing overseas recruitment from India, and how to verify us.
Disha Global Workforce is an overseas manpower recruitment business based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We are not ourselves a licensed Recruiting Agent — we operate in association with, and under the authorisation of, a Recruiting Agent licensed under the Emigration Act, 1983.
Formal company-registration details — including incorporation particulars, CIN, GST registration and our registered office address — will be published on this page once available.
Overseas recruitment from India requires a valid Recruiting Agent (RA) licence issued by the Protector General of Emigrants (PGE) under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, pursuant to the Emigration Act, 1983.
Operating as a recruiting agent without a valid RA licence is a criminal offence under Section 10 of the Emigration Act, 1983. Candidates and employers should always verify the licensing of any recruitment agency before engaging their services (see Section 5 of this page).
Disha Global Workforce operates in association with, and under the authorisation of, a Recruiting Agent that holds a valid RA licence issued by the PGE. We carry out our recruitment activities under that authorisation and in full compliance with the Emigration Act, 1983.
Overseas manpower recruitment from India is primarily governed by the following:
The Emigration Act, 1983 is the primary legislation regulating the emigration of Indian citizens for overseas employment. Key provisions relevant to candidates and employers include:
The PGE is the statutory authority under the Ministry of External Affairs responsible for overseeing overseas employment of Indian nationals. The PGE issues RA licences, registers demand letters from foreign employers, and administers emigration clearances. The PGE also handles complaints against recruiting agents and can suspend or cancel an RA licence for misconduct.
The eMigrate portal (emigrate.gov.in) is the Government of India's online platform for managing emigration-related processes. Through eMigrate:
Disha Global Workforce conducts all overseas recruitment activity within the framework set out above. In practice, this means:
Our full commitments are detailed in our Ethical Recruitment Policy.
Both candidates and employers are encouraged to independently verify the licensing and standing of the Recruiting Agent under whose authorisation we operate before engaging our services. You can do this as follows:
A licence showing "Active" status on eMigrate means we are currently authorised to recruit. If the status shows "Expired", "Suspended" or "Cancelled", please do not engage our services and report the matter to the PGE.
You may also write directly to the Protector General of Emigrants, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to verify the licensing status of any recruiting agent. Contact details are available on the eMigrate portal.
We take compliance and candidate welfare seriously. If you have a concern about our recruitment practices or any potential violation of the Emigration Act, 1983, please contact:
You may also file a complaint directly with the Protector of Emigrants in your region or the Protector General of Emigrants via the eMigrate portal. This is your right as a candidate or worker under the Emigration Act, 1983, and we fully support you in exercising it.
