- Argon purging
- Sanitary finishes
- Heat control

About the work
Sanitary stainless work is judged on the inside of the weld as much as the outside. A rough or oxidised bead can hold bacteria, so the welds must be smooth, fully penetrated and without heat tint. You will use TIG (tungsten inert gas, also called GTAW), argon purge and tight heat control. The employer expects clean handling of stainless at every step.
Ideal candidate
You are a meticulous stainless welder who treats cleanliness as part of the job. You are patient with purging and polishing and proud of a bright, smooth weld.
