Role overview
Experienced site engineers for a construction company in Malaysia — supervising civil and structural works on building and infrastructure projects, setting-out and surveying, quality control, subcontractor coordination and on-schedule delivery in line with safety and engineering standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site (civil, structural and finishing works)
- Set out, level and survey the site; establish reference points and control lines
- Ensure works are executed to drawings, specifications and approved method statements
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship; carry out inspections and tests
- Coordinate subcontractors, site labour, plant and material deliveries
- Interpret engineering drawings and resolve technical issues on site
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and report delays or constraints
- Measure and record quantities of completed work for valuation
- Maintain site records, daily reports, RFIs and as-built documentation
- Liaise with consultants, clients, architects and the project manager
- Enforce site safety, method statements and risk assessments (HSE)
- Support planning of resources, sequencing and site logistics
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
- 4–5 years of site-engineering experience on building or infrastructure construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and site-safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications
- Experience with setting-out, levelling and survey instruments (total station / auto level)
- Familiarity with quality control, inspection and testing on site
- Strong leadership, coordination and site-management skills
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Willing to work at various project sites across Malaysia
- Valid passport and medically fit for overseas deployment

Salary & benefits
