Role overview
A senior MEP design engineer for high-rise buildings, residential developments and villas in the UAE, developing, reviewing and coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage and fire protection design from concept through detailed design and construction documentation. AED 7,000 to 14,000 a month.
Experience requirement. Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, with proven project exposure to high-rise buildings, residential buildings and villa construction. UAE project experience is strongly preferred. You should be able to demonstrate your technical knowledge, project responsibilities and hands-on experience during the interview.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review MEP designs for building projects
- Review architectural and structural drawings for MEP coordination
- Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing and drainage systems
- Review design calculations and equipment selections
- Prepare and review MEP layouts and technical drawings
- Review design specifications and technical schedules
- Coordinate multidisciplinary MEP interfaces
- Identify and resolve design clashes
- Coordinate MEP requirements with the architectural and structural teams
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals
- Review equipment and material technical submissions
- Respond to RFIs and technical queries
- Take part in design and coordination meetings
- Support value engineering and design optimisation
- Make sure designs account for constructability, accessibility and maintenance
- Support site teams in resolving design-related issues
- Review design changes and keep technical documentation in order
- Support testing, commissioning and handover where required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering, or a relevant discipline
- Strong multidisciplinary understanding of MEP systems
- Experience in design coordination and technical documentation
- Able to read and coordinate architectural, structural and MEP drawings
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

Salary & benefits
AED 7,000–14,000 /mo — approximately ₹181,600 – ₹363,200 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
