Role overview
Process engineers for refinery and process units in Abu Dhabi, Ruwais and Dubai, covering unit monitoring, troubleshooting and optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and support safe, efficient operation of refinery and process units
- Analyse pressure, temperature, flow, level and process-quality parameters
- Assist with process troubleshooting and spot abnormal operating conditions
- Monitor production performance and process trends
- Review PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets and operating procedures
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, instrumentation and HSE teams
- Support process optimisation and energy-efficiency work
- Take part in startup, shutdown and plant stabilisation
- Support HAZOP, HAZID, MOC, JSA and JHA and risk assessment
- Assist with technical reports and operating procedures
- Support turnaround, maintenance and inspection activities
- Follow permit-to-work, LOTO and refinery HSE requirements
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in chemical engineering
- Process or petroleum engineering may be considered, depending on the employer
- 1 to 5 years or more of relevant experience
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 12,000–16,000 /mo — approximately ₹311,300 – ₹415,000 per month (indicative).
