Role overview

A facility-management company or hotel engineering team requires plumbing maintenance technicians to look after the plumbing and pumping systems of whole buildings. You will carry more technical responsibility than a standard maintenance plumber. AED 2,000 to 3,200 a month, indicative.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM on booster sets, transfer pumps and sump pumps
  • Check pump pressure, motor temperature, seals and non-return valves on each round
  • Service water heaters, calorifiers and heat-pump units to the maintenance schedule
  • Inspect and clean domestic water tanks, and check float and level controls
  • Handle reactive and emergency call-outs, including night work
  • Close work orders in a computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system with notes
  • Repair pipe leaks in risers and ceiling voids with minimal disruption
  • Coordinate with the electrical and HVAC technicians on shared plant
  • Follow isolation and permit procedures during shutdowns
  • Record meter readings and report abnormal water use

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of facility-management, hotel or building maintenance experience
  • ITI Plumber, diploma or an equivalent trade certificate is preferred
  • Practical knowledge of pumps, water heaters, tanks and valves
  • Comfortable working shifts and on call in occupied buildings
  • Basic English or Hindi to follow instructions
  • Valid passport
  • Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work

You will run planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across domestic water, drainage and pumping systems, and handle the faults that PPM does not prevent. Your rounds cover plant rooms, tanks, risers and public areas. The employer expects tidy records, strong fault-finding and dependable shift and on-call cover.

Salary & benefits
