Role overview
Experienced plaster masons for residential, commercial, high-rise and villa construction projects in Dubai, carrying out internal and external plastering with accurate thickness, line, level and a smooth finish. AED 1,500 to 2,500 a month, indicative, depending on experience and skill.
Experience requirement. Hands-on experience as a plaster mason, applying plaster and render to walls and ceilings, inside and out. Surfaces must come out smooth, level and plumb at the required thickness, ready for painting or the next finish.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out internal and external plastering
- Prepare walls and surfaces before plastering
- Prepare cement, sand and other plastering materials
- Apply plaster to walls and ceilings
- Keep to the required plaster thickness
- Keep surfaces straight, level and plumb
- Screed and level plastered surfaces
- Produce smooth, consistent finishes
- Carry out patching and repair work
- Repair cracks and damaged plaster
- Plaster around doors, windows, columns and service openings
- Form neat corners, edges and junctions
- Coordinate with the blockwork and MEP teams
- Prepare finished surfaces for painting or other finishes
- Keep material wastage low
- Maintain plastering tools and keep the work area in order
- Follow site HSE requirements
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a plaster mason
- Strong practical plastering skills
- Experience with internal and external wall plaster
- Able to keep line, level, plumb and the required thickness
- Knowledge of surface preparation and mortar mixing
- Good finishing skills
- Able to work independently
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred, depending on the employer
- Valid passport
- Physically and medically fit for construction work overseas
