Role overview
QC inspectors for industrial piping and welding projects in Singapore, inspecting fabrication, weld preparation and completed welds, and holding the quality record.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out visual inspection of pipe fit-ups and welds
- Inspect root passes and completed welds
- Verify joint preparation, alignment and workmanship
- Check material certificates and supporting documentation
- Verify welding procedures and their documentation
- Monitor electrode storage and handling requirements
- Coordinate and review NDT results, including RT, PT and MT
- Maintain inspection reports and check sheets
- Prepare and track punch lists
- Coordinate with welding, piping and site teams on quality issues
Requirements
- Proven experience as a piping or welding QC inspector
- Practical experience on industrial piping and welding projects
- Knowledge of welding inspection and piping quality requirements
- Able to review welding documentation
- Certification such as CSWIP, AWS or equivalent preferred
- Singapore or Middle East U-turn experience preferred
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment
