Role overview
Qualified mechanical engineers for heavy-machinery operations in Malaysia — inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and performance improvement of construction, mining and industrial equipment. Strong diesel-engine, hydraulic-system and preventive-maintenance knowledge required.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, transmission and engine-related faults
- Inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime
- Analyse equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and workshop personnel
- Prepare technical reports, inspection records and maintenance documentation
- Monitor spare-parts inventory and recommend replacement requirements
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Malaysian workplace regulations
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning and performance testing
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and mechanics
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 4–5 years of experience in heavy machinery, construction, mining or industrial equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, powertrain components and preventive maintenance
- Experience with excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, graders or forklifts preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and reporting systems
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work overtime and travel to project sites when required
- Valid passport and medically fit for overseas deployment

Salary & benefits
