Role overview

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, transmission and engine-related faults
  • Inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime
  • Analyse equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and workshop personnel
  • Prepare technical reports, inspection records and maintenance documentation
  • Monitor spare-parts inventory and recommend replacement requirements
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Malaysian workplace regulations
  • Assist in equipment installation, commissioning and performance testing
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians and mechanics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4–5 years of experience in heavy machinery, construction, mining or industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, powertrain components and preventive maintenance
  • Experience with excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, graders or forklifts preferred
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and reporting systems
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel to project sites when required
  • Valid passport and medically fit for overseas deployment

Salary & benefits
