Role overview

A mason helper is required to support masons, plasterers and tile setters on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. You mix, carry and clean so the skilled crew can keep laying and finishing. AED 900 to 1,300 a month, indicative.

Who can apply. No trade qualification is needed. Previous experience in the same kind of work is an advantage but is not required.

Key responsibilities

Mix mortar and plaster to the mason's instructions
Carry blocks, bricks and bags of sand and cement to the work face
Wheel mortar and material by barrow across uneven ground
Set up and move scaffold boards under supervision
Pass blocks and mortar up to the mason on scaffolds
Soak and carry tiles and spread adhesive where trained
Wash trowels, buckets and mixing tubs after use
Sweep and remove rubble and dried mortar
Protect finished walls and floors from splashes
Stack blocks and bags neatly and off the ground

Requirements

No trade qualification needed
Able to follow instructions in Hindi or basic English
Willing to do repetitive lifting and carrying in heat
Comfortable at ground level and on low scaffolds
Punctual and reliable
Valid passport
Medically fit for overseas employment
