Role overview
Skilled marble and granite masons for residential, commercial, hotel, villa and fit-out projects in Dubai, measuring, cutting, fixing, levelling, polishing and finishing marble, granite and natural stone for floors, walls, staircases and countertops. AED 1,500 to 2,500 a month, indicative, depending on experience and skill.
Experience requirement. Hands-on experience as a marble, granite or stone mason, cutting and fixing stone for floors, walls, staircases and countertops. High-quality alignment, joint consistency and finishing are essential in this role, and expensive stone has to be handled with care.
Key responsibilities
- Install marble, granite and natural stone
- Measure and mark surfaces accurately
- Cut and shape stone to the required dimensions
- Install marble and granite flooring
- Install wall cladding and stone finishes
- Install staircases and steps
- Prepare surfaces before stone installation
- Mix and apply the right mortar or adhesive
- Keep levels, alignment and joint spacing accurate
- Grind and polish stone surfaces and edges
- Finish edges and corners
- Fill joints and carry out the final finishing
- Repair or replace damaged stone
- Handle expensive stone materials carefully
- Keep breakage and material wastage low
- Maintain cutting, grinding and polishing equipment
- Follow site safety procedures
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a marble mason, granite mason or stone mason
- Practical experience cutting and fixing marble and granite
- Strong measurement, alignment and finishing skills
- Able to operate stone cutters, grinders and polishing equipment
- Understanding of different stone thicknesses and installation methods
- Good attention to detail
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred, depending on the employer
- Valid passport
- Physically and medically fit for stone handling and construction work overseas

Salary & benefits
