Role overview
Hydroprocessing engineers for hydrocracker and hydrotreater units in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, covering reactor performance, catalyst monitoring and yield.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and optimise hydrocracker and hydroprocessing unit performance
- Monitor reactor, recycle-gas, separator and fractionation systems
- Analyse hydrogen consumption and process performance
- Monitor reactor temperature, pressure, flow and product quality
- Support catalyst-performance monitoring
- Troubleshoot process deviations and abnormal conditions
- Support product-yield and quality optimisation
- Coordinate with the control room, field operations and maintenance
- Review PFDs, P&IDs and operating procedures
- Support startup and shutdown
- Take part in HAZOP, MOC, PSSR and risk assessment
- Support turnaround and catalyst-change activities
- Prepare process-performance reports
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in chemical engineering
- 3 to 10 years or more on hydroprocessing units
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

- VGO hydrotreater

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 14,000–16,000 /mo — approximately ₹363,200 – ₹415,000 per month (indicative).
