Role overview

HSE engineers for ADNOC, ENOC and other major UAE and GCC oil and gas, EPC, refinery, petrochemical and industrial projects. AED 5,000 to 8,000 a month, covering HSE management systems, audits, incident investigation and contractor performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement the project HSE plan and its procedures
  • Review and coordinate risk assessments, JSA and JHA and method statements
  • Monitor permit-to-work systems and high-risk activities
  • Carry out regular HSE inspections and audits
  • Identify hazards and set appropriate control measures
  • Monitor critical activities:
    • Hot work
    • Confined spaces
    • Work at height
    • Excavation
    • Lifting operations
    • Electrical work
    • Scaffolding
    • Heavy equipment
    • Simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Carry out root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive action
  • Track HSE observations through to closeout
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance
  • Run HSE meetings, toolbox talks and awareness sessions
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports
  • Keep HSE statistics and performance indicators
  • Coordinate emergency-response plans and drills
  • Support client, consultant and regulatory HSE audits
  • Keep HSE documentation complete and traceable
  • Coordinate with project management, construction, QA and QC and engineering
  • Monitor compliance with project and client HSE standards
  • Stop unsafe work, or recommend stopping it, where required

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, HSE, safety or a related discipline
  • NEBOSH certification is required for this role
  • Experience on oil and gas, EPC, construction or industrial projects
  • Experience on ADNOC, ADNOC Group, ENOC or other UAE oil and gas projects, or under their HSE requirements (strongly preferred, not required)
  • Strong practical knowledge of:
    • Permit-to-work
    • JSA and JHA
    • Risk assessment
    • Method statements
    • Incident investigation
    • HSE auditing
  • Experience working with subcontractors and several project stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of high-risk construction activities
  • Experience preparing HSE reports and documentation
  • Strong communication and leadership
  • Valid passport
  • Medically fit for overseas employment

Candidates who have worked on ADNOC, ADNOC Group, ENOC or other UAE oil and gas contractor projects are encouraged to apply. It is preferred on these roles and not required: candidates without it are considered on their wider oil and gas and EPC experience.

Salary & benefits

AED 5,000–8,000 /mo — approximately ₹129,700 – ₹207,500 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
