Role overview
Formwork carpenters are required for building and infrastructure sites where concrete is cast in a wide range of elements. The work goes beyond basic columns and slabs to walls, stairs and foundations. AED 1,100 to 1,800 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have at least 2 years of formwork experience, ideally on more than one type of structure.
Key responsibilities
- Install formwork for shear walls and core walls to drawing dimensions
- Form pile caps, raft edges and pad foundations in excavations
- Build formwork for staircases, landings and waist slabs
- Shutter retaining walls with tie rods, walers and external bracing
- Align forms to the tolerances stated on the structural drawing
- Check wall thickness, opening sizes and cast-in positions before closing the form
- Fix stop ends, construction joints and box-outs for services
- Confirm that ties, clamps and props are tight before the pour
- Watch the formwork for movement while concrete is placed
- Remove forms in the sequence set by the engineer after curing
Requirements
- At least 2 years of formwork experience on structural concrete
- Experience of at least three element types, such as walls, stairs and foundations
- ITI Carpenter or a trade certificate is an advantage. Proven site experience matters more
- Able to read structural and formwork drawings and check tolerances
- Safe working at height and awareness of safe striking
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work
You install, align and remove formwork for structural concrete, working to the tolerances on the drawing. You may move between elements during the week, from a core wall one day to a staircase the next. The employer expects accurate setting out, tidy work and the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.

Salary & benefits
AED 1,100–1,800 /mo — approximately ₹28,500 – ₹46,700 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
