Role overview

Driver-cum-helpers are required for delivery and distribution work where one person drives and also loads and unloads. You drive a van or light truck and deliver goods to shops, offices, sites and homes. AED 1,800 to 2,800 a month, indicative.

Experience requirement. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience driving a van or light truck and handling goods.

Key responsibilities

Drive a van or light truck on daily delivery routes
Load cartons, boxes and sacks onto the vehicle in delivery order
Stack goods so they do not slide, fall or crush each other
Unload and carry goods to the shop, store room or customer door
Use a hand trolley or pallet jack for heavy items
Check quantities against the delivery note at each stop
Obtain the receiver's signature and keep copies
Collect empty crates, returns and damaged goods
Count stock at the start and end of the day
Check tyres, lights, oil and brakes before leaving

Requirements

At least 1 year of van or light truck driving with loading work
A valid UAE driving licence in the right category is an advantage. Otherwise a valid Indian licence for the same vehicle class, and willingness to complete the UAE licence process the employer arranges
Ability to lift and carry goods safely
Basic counting and reading skills for delivery notes
Polite manner with customers
Basic English or Hindi for instructions
Valid passport
Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work

You do two jobs in one. You drive the vehicle to each stop, then carry and hand over the goods yourself, sometimes with a second helper. The employer expects safe driving, careful lifting and correct delivery of every item. The work is physically demanding, so you must be medically fit.

Ideal candidate

A hard-working, honest person who is happy to drive and lift in the same day. You count carefully and look after the goods as if they were your own.

Salary & benefits

AED 1,800–2,800 /mo — approximately ₹46,700 – ₹72,600 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
