Role overview
Commissioning engineers for refinery projects in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, from mechanical completion through to startup and stabilisation.
Key responsibilities
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Review P&IDs, equipment documents and commissioning procedures
- Support mechanical completion and punch-list clearance
- Take part in system walkdowns
- Support flushing, pressure testing and leak testing
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, EPC and vendor teams
- Take part in loop checks and functional testing
- Support DCS, ESD, SIS and instrumentation testing
- Assist with equipment startup and stabilisation
- Take part in PSSR
- Track commissioning punch points
- Prepare commissioning progress reports
- Follow permit-to-work, LOTO and site HSE requirements
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in chemical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or process engineering
- 3 to 10 years or more of commissioning experience
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 15,000–16,000 /mo — approximately ₹389,100 – ₹415,000 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
