Role overview

Detail-oriented accountants for our Malaysia operations — maintaining financial records, preparing reports, managing accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
  • Maintain the general ledger and journal entries
  • Prepare and file expense claims and petty-cash records
  • Support payroll processing and statutory deductions
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or finance
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with accounting software (SQL Accounting, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally or similar) is an advantage
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • English proficiency (additional languages an advantage)
